Us (2025) – Official Trailer | Lupita Nyong’o, Jason (Evan Alex)

Watch The Trailer:

If Us 2 were greenlit, it would likely have a budget between $30–50 million, an increase from the original’s $20 million due to higher expectations, larger set pieces, and Peele’s growing influence in Hollywood.

Jordan Peele would likely return as writer and director, with Lupita Nyong’o reprising her dual roles as Adelaide Wilson and her Tethered counterpart, Red. Given Peele’s affinity for psychological horror, the sequel would likely expand on the mythology of the Tethered, possibly exploring other underground societies or different parts of the country affected by the uprising.

Release Date

A potential release date would likely be March 2025, considering Peele’s past release patterns (Get Out – February 2017, Us – March 2019, Nope – July 2022). A spring release would capitalize on the pre-summer box office while avoiding competition with major blockbusters.

Box Office and Success

The original Us was a massive hit, grossing $256 million worldwide against its small budget. Given Peele’s strong fanbase and the intrigue surrounding a sequel, Us 2 could potentially break $300 million globally if marketed well.

Potential Story Direction

A sequel could follow Adelaide’s son, Jason, who may have his own dark connection to the Tethered world. Peele might also explore other government experiments, new Tethered societies, or supernatural elements beyond what we saw in the first film.

While no official confirmation exists, Us 2 would undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated horror films if announced.
