Salem’s Lot | FINAL Trailer (2024)

The 2024 adaptation of Salem’s Lot, based on Stephen King’s iconic vampire novel, promises to bring a chilling and modernized take on the classic horror story. The final trailer begins with Ben Mears (played by Lewis Pullman), a successful writer who returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot, also known as Salem’s Lot, to seek inspiration for his next novel. But as soon as he arrives, strange events begin to unfold, and the eerie atmosphere of the town sets the stage for something far more sinister.

The trailer shows Mears growing increasingly suspicious of the Marsten House, a mysterious and decaying mansion that looms over the town. It’s revealed that Kurt Barlow, a vampire (played by Pilou Asbæk), has taken residence there and is quietly transforming the town’s residents into his undead followers. The scenes of people mysteriously disappearing and coming back with a haunting, vacant look in their eyes indicate that the vampire infestation is spreading quickly.

Mears joins forces with local school teacher Susan Norton (Mackenzie Leigh), Dr. Jimmy Cody (Alfre Woodard), and a small group of townspeople who have also noticed the strange happenings. The trailer features scenes of the group barricading themselves inside houses, only to be hunted down by Barlow’s growing army of vampires.

The horror escalates as Mears uncovers that Barlow is not just feeding on the town—he’s preparing it as his own personal kingdom of the undead. The climactic moments of the trailer show intense confrontations between Mears and Barlow, with the fate of the town hanging in the balance. Barlow is depicted as a terrifying, ancient creature, whose powers go far beyond those of any typical vampire, making it clear that this battle will be deadly.

The final trailer teases scenes of gruesome horror, including iconic moments from the book like the floating vampire child scratching at the window and the shocking vampire transformations. Salem’s Lot (2024) looks to be a faithful yet terrifying update of King’s novel, filled with dread, tension, and blood-chilling horror as Mears fights to save what’s left of his hometown from the clutches of evil.
